9 Rules for brilliant picture
No one knows the recipe for masterpiece, but there are rules that will bring you closer to create amazing masterpiece. It’s all about rules told Steve McCurry – recognized genius and author of National Geographic picture “Afghan Girl” . On the example of his work, he showed that, while respecting the basic principles of composition, anyone can get a beautiful picture.
1.Rule of Thirds
Advertise important part of the composition along the lines, and most importantly – at their intersection.
Use natural lines to focus the viewer.
A well-chosen lines give dynamism.
Use natural framework, such as windows and doors.
5.The ratio of figure and background
Find the contrast between the subject and the background.
6.Fill the frame
Come closer to the one you’re shooting.
Place the right or left eye in the center of the composition. This gives a more expressive look of the beholder.
8.Patterns and repetition of images
Nice to look at patterns, but even better when the photographer interrupts these repetitions, adding object for contrast.
Harmony two halves pleasing to the eye.
