The most interesting castles in Romania
The first association that arise at the thought of Romanian castles are vampires. Sinister reputation of these majestic buildings was acquired through literature and not reliable facts. Irish novelist Bram Stoker in the pages of his novel “Settle” in the castle of Bran the world-famous character – the vampire aristocrat Count Dracula. Stoker became the inspiration for the novel “The Carpathian Castle” by the French writer Jules Verne, who sent his hero Count Franz de Telecom mystical journey to Transylvania.
It is therefore not surprising that the Romanian castles are of interest not only for lovers of literature, but also travelers.
